Create and Ink-Bleed effect in Adobe Photoshop

Learn how to apply an Ink-Bleed effect to you text or Smart Objects using layer styling.

Ability: Novice

  1. Open your “Layer Style” and select “Outer Glow”.

  2. Set your “Blend Mode” to Normal and make sure your Opacity is set to 100%.

  3. Select your “Outer Glow” colour to be the same as your text or smart object.

  4. Tweak your noice, spread and size sliders until you’ve achieved your desired effect.

  5. Click “OK”.

Hot Tips: Selecting the “Preview” box on the right-hand side of your Layer Style pop-up will enable you to see your changes as you make them.
